The RedTail Flight Academy, based at the New York Stewart International Airport,
is an all-volunteer program.
RedTail Flight Academy is a Tuskegee Airmen-inspired pipeline
to career possibilities for underrepresented people of color.
RedTail Flight Academy uses aviation as an aspirational platform to
recruit, develop, expose and place underrepresented talent --
with an emphasis on candidates of color
in honor of the Tuskegee Airmen.
Safety is the first priority in all our activities. We are committed to implementing, developing and improving strategies, management systems and processes to ensure that all our aviation activities uphold the highest level of safety performance and meet national and international standards.
Mentoring is our approach used for engaging youth who experience additional vulnerability or adversity, and are in need of positive adult support. We provide youth with mentors who can provide support, guidance, and opportunities to help our youth succeed in life and meet their goals.
We provide Academic Scholarships and Tuition Assistance support to deserving candidate. 252 to date & $275,000 in Scholarship awards.
